Insurify blocks Meta’s Muse AI agent from its insurance platform

Insurify said Muse can extract carrier rates and display them in a context-light list, which the company argues would not help consumers make informed coverage choices.

Insurance comparison site Insurify has blocked Meta’s Muse personal AI agent from accessing its platform, according to Coverager.

Insurify said the decision was made to protect consumers and its carrier partners, arguing that an AI agent that pulls insurers’ rates and shows them in a stripped-down format would not provide a fair comparison of coverage options.

Insurify’s co-founder and co-CEO Giorgos Zacharia said the company supports AI agents that improve insurance shopping, but that they must preserve information and consumer control needed to make an informed decision. He also referenced Insurify delivering 250 million quotes to shoppers.

Coverager also noted that a court has temporarily blocked Insurify from bidding on Confie trademarks until March 10, 2026.
