Julius Baer appoints Pamela Tseng as Asia COO
The private bank’s handover starts immediately, with Tseng taking over on 16 November 2026 after Andreas Zingg retires following 23 years at the group.
Julius Baer has appointed Pamela Tseng as its chief operating officer for Asia, with the role taking effect on 16 November 2026. Tseng will be based in Singapore and will work with departing COO Andreas Zingg during the handover period.
Zingg, who has held the post for more than two decades, will leave the group on retirement after 23 years. Julius Baer said he played a central role in building its operating setup in Asia and overseeing major transformation programmes.
In her new role, Tseng will oversee efforts aimed at improving both client and employee experience across Asia. She will report to Jean Nabaa, chief operating officer and member of the executive board, and Jimmy Lee, Asia region head and member of the global wealth management committee.
According to the bank, Tseng previously served at Standard Chartered as global chief operating officer for private banking, after senior roles at Citi and earlier work at Accenture in Singapore and Beijing. The appointment comes after Julius Baer named Peter Burrill as chief financial officer in July, replacing Evie Kostakis.
