MNK International launches North America broking unit
The new business, led by Julian Ball, will connect North American producers and clients to specialist coverage via London and Bermuda markets.
Insurance Journal reports that MNK International, an independent Lloyd’s broker, has launched MNK International North America, a new broking business designed to give North American producers and clients access to specialist insurance solutions through the London and Bermuda markets.
The unit will be led by Julian Ball, who will oversee the development of specialist teams in London and has held senior roles in London and New York, including building North American specialty businesses at United Insurance brokers, leading a wholesale business serving the US market at Marsh, and overseeing US growth and client development at Bowring Marsh.
MNK International North America will target opportunities across multiple sectors, including transportation and auto, commercial property, professional and financial, marine hull and cargo, healthcare and life science, natural resources, construction and engineering, crisis management, renewable energy, and cyber.
The broker said Ball will also develop a digital platform for North American clients and explore opportunities to create proprietary solutions in collaboration with other businesses within MNK Group.
