Vertafore launches four Velocity AI agents for independent agencies
The new agents are designed to automate servicing and document research, cutting document review time by up to 90% in early testing and targeting general availability in 2026.
Vertafore, an insurance distribution technology provider, has introduced its Agentic Agency vision along with four new Velocity AI agents intended to help independent agencies increase distribution velocity by reducing workflow friction.
The company said much of an agency’s capacity is consumed by drag such as moving information between systems, searching and re keying data, and completing repetitive service and accounting tasks, and that it is embedding AI across connected workflows, from sales and submissions through servicing, accounting, intelligence, and everyday guidance.
Vertafore said the Velocity AI agents can take on more of the work inside these workflows, bringing staff in when expertise, judgment, and relationships matter most, while AI enablers aim to improve ease of use and data quality and business intelligence agents surface growth insights from book, pipeline, and performance data. It added that Velocity AI agents are already in use with early adopters and are scheduled to be generally available this year.
In the rollout, Vertafore highlighted a Velocity Document Intelligence Agent that automates time consuming research by finding relevant information within documents and assembling clear answers. The company said early adopter testing showed it can reduce document review time by up to 90%, and it set general availability for September 2026.
