Alibaba lays out pragmatic AI roadmap aimed at monetisation
Alibaba said its Apsara Conference highlights execution across a full stack AI ecosystem, even as capital expenditure rises, according to analysts cited by SCMP Economy.
Alibaba Group Holding presented a “pragmatic” artificial intelligence roadmap at its flagship Apsara Conference this week, aiming to improve monetisation, despite a sharp escalation in capital expenditure, according to SCMP Economy.
The conference ran from Tuesday to Thursday under the theme “Intelligence goes beyond,” and featured an emphasis on disciplined execution across Alibaba’s full stack AI ecosystem, Cathy Chan of CCB International said.
Chan noted that investor sentiment for Alibaba’s AI themes has shifted since last year, moving from enthusiasm for AI catalysts to a focus on tangible returns and infrastructure efficiency, per SCMP Economy.
