Baldwin Realtors migrates 3,500 agents to Perchwell MLS platform
The shift from Paragon to Perchwell followed a three month parallel period and required 135 training sessions, including 60 in person.
Baldwin Realtors, serving about 3,500 agents in Baldwin County, Alabama, has moved its full membership MLS setup from Paragon to Perchwell, the first full membership MLS platform conversion in more than 25 years, HousingWire reports. The rollout followed a three month parallel period before the transition was completed.
Perchwell CEO Brendan Fairbanks said the conversion reflects a need for a faster pace of innovation in MLS technology, which has seen limited change over the past 20 years compared with software used elsewhere by agents. He emphasized that Perchwell’s architecture is configurable, allowing ongoing, market specific improvements.
HousingWire reports that the MLS change included an extensive training effort, with 135 sessions in total, including 60 held in person and others conducted at brokerage offices. Fairbanks also highlighted features designed for agent workflows, including fast search, mobile parity, and client collaboration tools such as Workspaces.
Fairbanks described MLS as an agent edge rather than primarily consumer data, and he positioned the platform as a technology partner aimed at helping agents work and grow as the real estate marketplace evolves.
