EverQuote plans to integrate AI-agent technology for insurance shopping
The company said it will use the Waniwani tool to let consumers compare coverage options inside the ChatGPT interface.
Insurance marketplace company EverQuote is working on AI-focused product plans aimed at improving how consumers discover and evaluate insurance options. In its job opening and CEO commentary highlighted by Coverager, the firm pointed to AI search and agentic commerce as key focus areas.
Coverager reports that EverQuote plans to integrate Waniwani’s technology into its AI solutions for property and casualty carriers and insurance agents. The app listing described the tool as enabling consumers to browse coverage options and evaluate insurers without leaving the ChatGPT interface.
The move comes as the broader insurtech market tests different approaches to AI agents, with Coverager noting that Insurify has been blocking Meta’s AI agent Muse. EverQuote is positioning its work around consumer-facing AI experiences rather than the same agent route.
