Scription partners with GlacierGrid to launch RoofIQ Plus
RoofIQ Plus combines GlacierGrid sensors that monitor rooftop HVAC units with Scription fixed-price service contracts to turn detected issues into a predictable annual cost.
Scription is partnering with GlacierGrid to provide equipment monitoring for small commercial operators via Scription’s network of retail insurance brokers and commercial real estate partners, Coverager reports. The new offering, RoofIQ Plus, pairs GlacierGrid’s wireless sensors and monitoring platform with Scription fixed-price HVAC service contracts.
The sensors are designed to track rooftop units and flag potential problems, including short cycling, airflow issues, and failing components. Scription’s contracts cover failures caused by ordinary wear, age, and use, shifting what it finds into a predictable annual cost for small operators, according to GlacierGrid and Scription.
GlacierGrid says its platform is deployed across more than 5,000 commercial locations. Founded in 2020, Scription has raised more than $10 million from investors including IA Capital and Cameron Ventures, and GlacierGrid’s Series A was led by Zero Infinity Partners.
Scription CEO Gerritt Graham said the partnership aims to give smaller operators enterprise-style monitoring and accountability without requiring them to build those capabilities in-house. Coverager notes the collaboration is built around turning monitoring data into contracted service pricing.
