Xi and Trump begin talks at the White House amid AI pledges

China’s President Xi Jinping arrived at the White House to begin talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to SCMP Economy. At the welcome ceremony, Trump highlighted U.S. military capabilities with a flyover by a B-2 Spirit bomber and four F-22 Raptors, followed by a silent military drill.
SCMP Economy reports that in their remarks, both leaders referenced shared wartime history and emphasized cooperation on common interests. Xi also called for AI to remain under human control and said China and the U.S. share responsibility for developing artificial intelligence for the public good.
