Brightline files for bankruptcy to reduce its heavy debt load

Brightline, the Florida passenger railroad backed by Fortress Investment Group, has filed for bankruptcy as it looks to reduce a heavy debt burden, according to WSJ Markets.
The outlet said ridership is increasing but still trails the levels needed to support the railroad's expansion.
