Dallas Cowboys plan a sports entertainment district around AT&T Stadium

The team would develop the land surrounding the 3M SF AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where its prior mixed-use project The Star opened in 2016.

The Dallas Cowboys are planning a new sports and entertainment district around AT&T Stadium in Arlington, aiming to replicate the development success of their mixed-use headquarters project in Frisco, according to Bisnow.

Bisnow reports that the team intends to develop the land around the 3 million square-foot AT&T Stadium, building toward a similar model to The Star.

The Cowboys Chief Operating Officer Stephen Jones said the franchise has not moved quickly on developing the stadium site, but that it is coming, and noted that the team is close to doing something similar at AT&T Stadium.

Bisnow said AT&T Stadium is owned by the city of Arlington, while The Star, a 91-acre mixed-use district, opened in 2016 and includes the practice facility, team world headquarters, office space, a hotel, a luxury multifamily tower, medical office space, and restaurants and retail.
