Arch Insurance International hires Danielle Whitlock for marine underwriting

Whitlock, based in London, will support growth of Arch Insurance International's marine hull & war portfolio and provide primary and excess coverage for a range of vessels and interests.

Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, appointed Danielle Whitlock as Senior Marine Hull & War Underwriter, expanding its underwriting bench for the marine hull and war portfolio, according to Reinsurance News.

In the role, Whitlock will support portfolio growth by providing primary and excess coverage for a wide spectrum of vessels and interests, the outlet said.

Whitlock will be based in London and report to Jason Page, Head of Marine Hull & War. Reinsurance News also noted she brings over 20 years of marine insurance experience and joins Arch from WTW, where she served as an Associate Director in the marine division.

The appointment follows leadership commentary from Page, who said Whitlock is highly regarded in the marine hull and war sector and is expected to help drive continued portfolio growth through client and broker relationships, Reinsurance News reported.
