ERGO Group appoints chief AI officer to management board
The CAIO role takes effect Oct. 1 and assigns Guy Goldstein group-wide responsibility for implementing AI across ERGO's value chain.
ERGO Group said it has created a chief artificial intelligence officer position on its management board, appointing Guy Goldstein, CEO of ERGO NEXT, effective October 1.
Goldstein will keep his role leading ERGO NEXT in the United States while taking group-wide responsibility for the systematic implementation of AI across ERGO’s entire value chain and all its markets, according to Insurance Business.
The move coincides with the planned departure of Mark Klein, ERGO Group’s chief digital officer, who will leave the company at the end of the year at his own request.
Insurance Business also reported that Markus Rieß, ERGO Group’s CEO, linked the CAIO creation to the company’s strategic direction through 2030 and framed the appointment as a board-level push to embed AI throughout ERGO’s operations.
