Relation Insurance acquires LaPlaca Insurance agency in Pennsylvania
The deal becomes effective June 30, 2026, expanding Relation’s footprint across the greater Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey region.
Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of LaPlaca Insurance, a Chalfont, Pennsylvania agency that serves the greater Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey areas, with the transaction effective June 30, 2026.
LaPlaca Insurance, founded in 1988, provides business insurance, employee benefits, and personal lines solutions across Pennsylvania and several other states. Insurance Business reports that Anne La Placa, who serves as vice president, said the decision centered on finding a partner that shares the agency’s values.
Relation’s chief executive officer, Tim Hall, pointed to client retention as a key factor, adding that the acquisition brings a combined 140 years of insurance experience and retention rates consistently in the high 90th percentile.
The purchase adds to Relation’s existing Pennsylvania presence, giving it deeper reach into the greater Philadelphia corridor and adjacent New York and New Jersey markets.
