Malaysia police to question 10 ex-Negeri Sembilan officials
The move follows a week after the state ruler dismissed the officials from the executive council over their support for a bid to remove him.
Malaysian police were set to begin questioning 10 former officials from the Negeri Sembilan state executive council on Monday, according to SCMP Economy.
The inquiry is linked to a disputed effort to remove the state’s long-time ruler, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, the outlet said.
SCMP Economy reported that the ruler dismissed the 10 ex-executive council members about a week earlier, saying they breached their oaths of allegiance by backing his removal.
