Middle East crude exports rise to 12.8 million bpd

Preliminary Kpler data cited by Reuters links the rebound to Saudi Arabia shifting crude loading from the west to the east of the Gulf of Oman using ship-to-ship transfers.

Crude oil exports from the Middle East have risen to 12.8 million barrels per day this month, according to preliminary data from Kpler cited by Reuters.

The rebound was led by Saudi Arabia, which redirected oil flows from the west to the east, where it loads crude onto tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

Kpler data cited by Reuters attributes the shift to ship-to-ship transfer operations as Saudi flows move to eastern loading points.
