Rebecca Drummond named PPL Chief Product and Technology Officer

PPL said the new role will combine product, engineering and delivery under one leadership team to speed up delivery of trading tools and data for London insurers.

Placing Platform Limited, a London-based provider of digital trading solutions for the insurance sector, has appointed Rebecca Drummond as Chief Product and Technology Officer in a newly created position, Reinsurance News reported.

In the role, Drummond will focus on accelerating the development and delivery of trading tools and data to the London insurance market, with leadership spanning product, engineering, and delivery within a single team structure.

The appointment also follows Drummond joining PPL earlier this year as Chief of Staff to John Mason, PPLs chief executive officer, and an executive leadership team member.

Prior to PPL, Drummond held senior leadership roles at London Stock Exchange Group, including leading product, engineering and data organizations, and driving large-scale technology and business transformation, according to Reinsurance News.
