Bitcoin falls back below its daily open after bond yields hit highs

Bitcoin retreated from a local high near $84,540 to below about $83,600 after the 30-year US Treasury yield topped 5.60%.

Bitcoin reversed recent gains and struggled to break above $85,000, according to Cointelegraph, as sellers held levels while surging US bond yields weighed on broader risk assets.

Cointelegraph reported that TradingView data showed a local rally to $84,540 stalled around the start of the US session, with BTC/USD slipping below its daily opening level near $83,600.

The move came alongside record levels in US Treasurys, with the 30-year yield reaching new 24-year highs above 5.60% and the 10-year yield at 5.26%, according to Cointelegraph.
