Hong Kong firms lag mainland peers in adopting generative AI
Only 10.0% of Hong Kong firms surveyed by Accenture had integrated generative AI across multiple business functions.
Hong Kong businesses are falling behind their mainland China counterparts in adopting artificial intelligence, as legacy systems and a risk-averse corporate culture slow the city’s digital transition, according to a senior executive at consultancy Accenture, cited by SCMP Economy.
Accenture found that just 10.0% of Hong Kong firms it surveyed had integrated generative AI across multiple business functions, underscoring the gap with mainland peers.
