Indian equities may stay volatile near term, Nifty outlook positive
Ventura research head Vinit Bolinjkar pointed to crude oil moves, geopolitical uncertainty, and a global shift toward easier central bank policy as drivers of near-term swings.
Indian equities are likely to remain volatile in the near term even as the medium-term outlook for India’s Nifty 50 is described as constructive, according to an interview with LiveMint.
Vinit Bolinjkar, head of research at Ventura, cited a global transition phase that includes geopolitical uncertainty and continued influence from crude oil movements on investor sentiment.
For India, he said stable macroeconomic conditions, healthy corporate balance sheets, and strong domestic institutional participation support the broader structural story.
Bolinjkar cautioned investors against chasing stocks purely on recent momentum without assessing business quality and valuations, urging a focus on quality, valuations, and diversification.
