Marsh launches Archer by Marsh for reinsurance business setup
The new unit will be led by Faisal Haddad in Bermuda, pending required approvals, and includes a Bermuda-based ISAC company for sidecar and affiliate reinsurance solutions.
Marsh has launched Archer by Marsh to help asset managers and life and annuity insurers establish and operate reinsurance businesses, as the firm expands its services for managing and financing insurance liabilities.
According to Reinsurance News, Archer by Marsh will be led by Faisal Haddad, a Bermuda-based member of Oliver Wyman’s actuarial practice, with leadership contingent on receipt of necessary approvals.
The offering is designed to support product, asset, capital, and operating decisions as one integrated set, then establish the vehicle to carry them out, with Marsh also providing regulatory expertise through approval, establishment, and ongoing operations.
As part of the program, Marsh formed Mangrove ISAC Life Re, a Bermuda-based incorporated segregated accounts company intended to facilitate sidecar and affiliate reinsurance solutions.
