Kinetic retires Reflex wearable devices from workers' comp program

Reflex will stop being offered to new policyholders and be fully retired for existing customers by October 1, 2027.

Kinetic Insurance is retiring its Reflex wearable devices from its workers’ compensation program, with Reflex no longer available to new policyholders and set to be fully retired for existing policyholders by October 1, 2027, Coverager reports.

The insurer said the change will not alter coverage, claims service, or dividend eligibility, and that organizations using Reflex outside a Kinetic workers’ compensation policy are unaffected.

Kinetic said it is shifting more investment toward claims intelligence and management, including its dashboard that combines policy information, near-real-time claims data, and return-to-work status.

The company added that an AI system monitors 80 data points per claim and, according to Kinetic, employers actively engaged with its program have 34% lower loss ratios.
