Lexington Insurance launches financial institutions practice for wholesale clients
AIG unit Lexington Insurance hired Kevin Ware to lead the new financial institutions practice.
American International Group excess and surplus subsidiary Lexington Insurance has launched a dedicated financial institutions practice aimed at supporting wholesale-produced private company banks, asset managers, broker-dealers, and other firms, Insurance Journal reported.
The practice will focus on helping brokers and clients manage a shift in the sector through specialized expertise, flexible underwriting, and tailored solutions, the outlet said.
Lexington tapped Kevin Ware as head of financial institutions, and Insurance Journal noted his prior career experience in financial institutions, most recently as vice president at CRC Group handling financial lines and specialized in financial institutions.
Ware said financial institutions are in a period of market transformation driven by areas such as emerging technologies, AI infrastructure investment, data, and new capital sources, creating demand for specialized underwriting and solutions that can adapt as client needs evolve.
