Miata Metals finds high grade gold intercepts at Sela Creek in Suriname

Drill hole 26DDH-JT-023 returned 35 metres at 3.41 g/t gold, including 5.5 metres at 15.36 g/t from 97.7 metres depth.

Miata Metals reported additional high grade results from drilling at its Sela Creek gold project in Suriname, saying the latest intercepts in the Jons Trend support potential open-pit mining prospects.

In the highlight hole, 26DDH-JT-023 cut 35 metres grading 3.41 grams gold per tonne from 97.7 metres depth, including 5.5 metres at 15.36 g/t and 5.2 metres grading 3.4 g/t.

The company also said hole 26DDH-JT-022 returned 37.9 metres at 1.6 g/t gold from about 158.3 metres downhole, including 6 metres grading 3.9 g/t.

Mining.com reports that Miata said the Jons-style mineralization may repeat elsewhere across Sela Creek, while the company’s CEO, Jacob Verbaas, said the drill results show continuity of vein zones at depth and along strike.
