Adani Ports reports 11% YoY cargo volume growth to 46 MMT in Sept 2026
Containers drove the gain, with cargo in that segment rising 15% YoY to support the overall 46 MMT total.
Adani Group’s ports arm, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), said its cargo volume rose 11% year on year to 46 million metric tonnes for September 2026, keeping the stock in focus for Monday’s session, according to LiveMint Markets.
The company attributed the double digit growth to containers, where cargo increased 15% YoY. In the first half of financial year 2026 to 27, APSEZ handled 280 MMT cargo, after registering a 15% yearly increase.
APSEZ also reported logistics rail volumes of 62,302 TEUs for September, while rail volumes for the period stood at 312,763 TEUs, down 13% year on year.
The update arrived days after Adani Ports delivered a milestone in Colombo, where the Colombo West International Terminal doubled capacity, LiveMint Markets reported.
