Chinese firm reports hydrogen-boron fusion reaction success
The company said its EXL-50U device achieved hydrogen-boron fusion and hydrogen-boron plasma control in a step toward neutron-free magnetic confinement fusion research.
SCMP reports that a Chinese company, ENN Group, announced on Monday that its EXL-50U spherical device in Hebei province successfully achieved hydrogen-boron fusion reactions.
The outlet said the project reached what it described as high-parameter hydrogen-boron plasma control, which the company framed as a significant advance in research into neutron-free magnetic confinement fusion.
