ConocoPhillips to buy 1 million tons of LNG from Venture Global

The supply is scheduled to start in 2030 under a 20-year agreement between ConocoPhillips and Venture Global, according to OilPrice.

ConocoPhillips has signed a 20-year liquefied natural gas supply deal with Venture Global, under which Venture Global will supply 1 million tons of LNG to Conoco starting in 2030, OilPrice reported.

The agreement is positioned within a wider push in the energy sector to increase LNG exposure following a QatarEnergy force majeure, with OilPrice citing expectations that LNG demand will remain robust despite geopolitical effects on prices.
