Gallagher faces federal lawsuit over disability accommodation and termination
The complaint was filed on October 1, 2026, in the US District Court for the District of Nevada and names Gallagher and a service subsidiary.
A former Benefit Advocacy Representative has filed a federal lawsuit against Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. and its service subsidiary, alleging the brokerage fired her because of her disabilities and after she requested workplace accommodations and medical leave, according to a lawsuit described by Insurance Business.
The employee says she began working in Gallagher's Las Vegas operation in April 2019, and that an accommodation was approved in February before her job ended by April.
The complaint, filed October 1, 2026, in the US District Court for the District of Nevada, brings seven claims under federal and state disability and medical-leave laws.
The filing also alleges that scrutiny increased after she was assigned a new supervisor in September 2025, and that after her hernia surgery in November 2025 and roughly three weeks of medical leave, Gallagher placed her on written performance review shortly after she returned, Insurance Business reported.
