McDonald’s sells Hong Kong shop for about US$15.3 million

The Tsuen Wan Market Street property was sold for HK$120 million, with the sale agreement signed Aug. 31.

McDonald’s has sold the property that houses its first restaurant in Hong Kong’s New Territories for HK$120 million (about US$15.3 million), according to SCMP Economy.

The asset at 10-22 Tsuen Wan Market Street spans the ground floor to the second floor and was sold to Keen Charm Holdings (HK) Limited, with the agreement for sale signed on Aug. 31, the report said, citing the Land Registry.

The company’s year-long sell-down of self-owned shops in Hong Kong continues with the transaction, SCMP Economy reported.

SCMP Economy also said the purchasing vehicle’s directors are listed as Ngan Chi-hung, Ngan Chi-wai and Ngan Tuet-ching, and the group was not reached for comment.
