Mosaic Insurance launches political violence coverage in Germany
The new line offers up to €100 million in dedicated capacity for risks tied to terror, sabotage, and related property and liability exposures.
Mosaic Insurance has expanded into Continental Europe by underwriting political violence risks out of Germany, with up to €100 million in dedicated capacity, according to Reinsurance News.
The tailored coverage is designed to apply across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential property exposures tied to events including terror and sabotage, malicious damage, strikes, riots, civil commotion (SRCC), active assailant, war perils, and related liability.
Mosaic said the launch comes as European corporate buyers and brokers face a shifting threat environment, with rising demand linked to terrorism risks, concerns over state-backed sabotage, and elevated social unrest risks.
In a statement reported by Reinsurance News, Mosaic’s Global Head of Political Violence, Adam McGrath, said the insurer is extending political violence cover through its Cologne presence, building on existing direct capacity in the US and Dubai.
