Novatae acquires Specialized Program Solutions to expand trucking expertise

The acquisition of the Chester, New Jersey MGA closed on August 1, 2026, and terms were not disclosed.

Novatae Risk Group has acquired the assets of Specialized Program Solutions, a Chester, New Jersey-based MGA focused on trucking insurance, to add trucking expertise to its transportation and specialty program offerings, according to Coverager.

The deal closed on August 1, 2026, and the companies did not disclose terms. SPS, founded in 2022, provides underwriting, marketing, and program administration for long-haul trucking risks across the US, using a proprietary technology platform and data-driven underwriting.

Coverager reports that SPS is led by CEO Christopher Daggett, and the acquisition also brings technology capabilities that Novatae said will support its portfolio. Novatae, a specialty insurance brokerage, MGA, and program manager, operates 43 US offices and serves more than 6,000 clients.
