Rain keeps Hong Kong attraction lines short during second day of Golden Week
Peak Tram Central queues were under an hour and visitors planned about HK$5,000 each for sightseeing and food.
Rain dampened visitor numbers at some popular Hong Kong attractions on Friday morning, the second day of the National Day “golden week” holiday, according to SCMP Economy.
At the Peak Tram terminus in Central, queues remained short, with passengers waiting less than an hour to board.
SCMP Economy also cited a visitor, Jasper Huang, a mechanical engineer in his twenties from Xiamen, Fujian province, who said he was spending four days in Hong Kong with friends.
Huang said the group planned to visit spots including Victoria Harbour and the streets of Central, and to spend around HK$5,000, or US$637, each on sightseeing and food.
