Rising sovereign yields and AI debt bolster the Bitcoin adoption case
Bank of England flagged sovereign bond stress on September 30, and Mastercard rolled out testing in the United States for a transaction-identification score tied to its Agent Pay program.
Bitcoin’s monetary case is strengthening as higher government borrowing costs and expanding software buying for services increase demand for money issued outside government policy, according to CryptoSlate. The outlet points to sovereign financing pressure as a reason people may consider alternatives, and it ties that to agent commerce that can move the asset through transactions.
CryptoSlate also links the argument to a Bank of England warning issued September 30 that paired sovereign bond stress with borrowing that finances artificial intelligence. The outlet says the Bank described an extended energy shock that pushed government yields higher and highlighted that AI-related debt leaves some investors more exposed to technology fortunes.
In the same timeframe, CryptoSlate cites Mastercard’s announcement of new trust and intelligence services for its Agent Pay program, including a score to identify AI-initiated transactions. The score is rolling out for testing in the United States.
