Bangkok floods submerge a newly bought car as residents face delays
Flooding in Bangkok surged from the city’s drains, leaving at least one resident saying the water quickly overtook a car she had bought less than a month earlier, and that the vehicle was already submerged by the time she tried to move it. According to SCMP Economy, Fon said she woke up at 5am but found it too late, after deciding the previous weekend to wait until dawn to relocate her car to a nearby shopping centre. She added that she had not even started making the payments before the car was lost to the floodwaters, underscoring how rapidly conditions can deteriorate during the flooding.
