China Eastern reports passenger to police after cabin aisle kneeling
The incident involved a flight attendant filmed kneeling to apologize after bumping the passenger’s elbow with a service trolley.
China Eastern Airlines reported a male passenger to police, saying the passenger allegedly disturbed order aboard a civil aircraft after a flight attendant was filmed kneeling in a cabin aisle to apologize for bumping his elbow with a service trolley, according to SCMP Economy.
In a second statement, the airline said it believed the passenger’s actions amounted to disturbing order and had severely infringed upon the employee’s personal dignity.
SCMP Economy reported that footage of the incident on a flight from Hefei in Anhui province to Dalian in Liaoning province began circulating online on Monday, with the airline publishing its updated statement on Saturday.
