HDFC Bank, Yes Bank and other Indian stocks to watch on Oct 5
Indian markets ended a sharp eight-week losing streak for the Sensex, while the Nifty fell more than 3% last week.
LiveMint Markets said Indian equity markets ended sharply lower for the eighth consecutive week as persistent selling pressure and weak global cues weighed on sentiment.
The outlet cited the Sensex slipping 1.52% on Monday and later closing down 1,670.84 points at 71,909.70, while the Nifty dropped more than 3% to finish at 22,421.95.
Ahead of trading on Monday, October 5, investors are expected to focus on several companies including HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, Bajaj Finance, DLF and IDBI Bank, as fresh announcements and developments could affect their shares.
LiveMint Markets also noted that HDFC Bank has appointed Anup Bagchi as managing director and CEO, following approval from the Reserve.
