Near Intents gets back $3.8 million drained in hack after 48-hour ultimatum
The cross-chain swap service posted crypto addresses for returning the funds and said it was stopping the investigation after the repayment arrived.
Near Intents said the roughly $3.8 million drained in an exploit on Thursday was returned in full on Friday.
The company said the return came a day after its team told the attacker publicly it had identified them and gave them a 48 hour window to return the funds.
Near Intents posted return addresses for Bitcoin, BNB/Ethereum, and Solana and framed the repayment as a last chance at responsible disclosure.
In an on chain message attached to the return transaction, the sender said it had returned all the funds, apologized, thanked the Near team for being cordial, and urged others to use bug bounties, according to Decrypt.
