Persian Gulf crude flows near prewar levels despite Hormuz pressure
At least 16.5 million barrels per day of crude left the region between Sept. 1 and Sept. 28, according to the latest data cited by OilPrice.
OilPrice reports that crude flows from the Persian Gulf have recovered to near prewar levels, even as Iran’s ability to apply pressure through the Strait of Hormuz has been called into question.
The outlet points to data showing that some of the oil is reaching global markets through routes and shipping arrangements that were not in place before the war.
OilPrice says at least 16.5 million barrels per day of crude left the region between Sept. 1 and Sept. 28, underscoring how supply paths have changed as the flow rebounds.
