Amazon buys two buildings at former Forever 21 HQ campus

The deal totals about 500,000 square feet, with Amazon paying $9.52 million in Measure ULA transfer taxes tied to a $146.2 million sale price, while LA28 leases the third building.

Amazon has bought two buildings on the former Forever 21 headquarters campus at 3930 Mission Road in Lincoln Heights, ending the site’s vacancy, according to Bisnow.

Bisnow reports that LA28, the organizer of the 2028 Summer Olympics, leased the remaining third building on the 39-acre campus, while the two Amazon acquisitions total approximately 500,000 square feet.

The two purchased buildings include Building 2, advertised as a 224,000 square foot warehouse with about 11 acres of industrial outdoor storage, and Building 3, described in marketing materials as roughly 279,000 square feet of newly renovated warehouse space.

Public records cited by Bisnow show Amazon paid $9.52 million in Measure ULA transfer taxes on the transaction, indicating a $146.2 million sale price, and Amazon declined to comment.
