AXA XL names Thomas Götting Chief Client and Distribution Officer
The appointment takes effect October 1, 2026, with responsibility for AXA XL’s client and distribution strategy across Europe, Asia and Australia.
AXA XL, AXA’s property and casualty specialty risk division, has appointed Thomas Götting as Chief Client & Distribution Officer for APAC & Europe, effective October 1, 2026, according to Reinsurance News.
In the role, Götting will lead AXA XL’s client and distribution strategy across Europe, Asia and Australia, building on experience that includes nearly 30 years in commercial insurance.
Reinsurance News said Götting has worked at AXA XL for the past five years, most recently as Head of Distribution & marketing in Germany, after earlier leadership roles at XL Catlin, Coface, and Atradius.
AXA XL cited Götting’s client-first approach and said his experience will help advance its partnership strategy, as reflected in a LinkedIn post where he pointed to a changing risk landscape shaped by digital and energy infrastructure investments and climate-related exposures.
