Crude oil and petroleum product prices rose in 3Q26
The EIA attributed the price strength to persistent conflict in the Middle East.
The EIA said petroleum markets in the third quarter of 2026 were marked by generally increasing crude oil and petroleum product prices.
It also pointed to rising refinery margins alongside the higher crude and product prices.
According to the EIA, the backdrop for the quarter included persistent conflict in the Middle East, supporting firm conditions across parts of the petroleum complex.
