Strive buys about $169M in Bitcoin, lifting holdings to 29,462 BTC

The Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin treasury company paid about $84,422 per coin between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, SEC filings show.

Strive, a Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin treasury company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, bought about 2,000 Bitcoin last week for roughly $169 million, according to an SEC filing reported by Decrypt.

The company said it paid an average of about $84,422 per coin between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2. That brings its holdings to 29,462 BTC as of Oct. 2.

Decrypt also notes that Strive’s last major purchase was 2,500 Bitcoin between May 23 and June, which lifted its total to 19,000 BTC. At an average price of roughly $86,000 per coin, the current Bitcoin stack is worth about $2.5 billion.

The report adds that Strive agreed in September 2025 to buy Semler Scientific, another firm with roughly 5,000 Bitcoin, and shareholders approved the deal in January, creating a combined stash of about 12,800 BTC. Strive’s Bitcoin holdings were 14,557 by late April, 20,246 by mid-August, and are now higher after last week’s purchase.
