Texas Mutual names John Grube Austin regional operations vice president

Grube now oversees underwriting, claims, safety services, premium audit, and business development for the Austin region, which also serves as the carrier's headquarters.

Texas Mutual Insurance Company has appointed John Grube as vice president of regional operations for its Austin region, a role that places him over the carrier's central Texas operations, including underwriting, claims, safety services, premium audit, and business development.

Insurance Business reports that Grube previously led the carrier's agency operations, where he oversaw agent commission and incentive structures, agency onboarding and licensing, safety group programs, and efforts to modernize policy document delivery. The outlet also notes he joined Texas Mutual in 2013 and has worked in underwriting roles and territory management.

The appointment was effective in May, and the carrier says it is significant because Austin is where Texas Mutual is headquartered and because of the carrier's market position.

Insurance Business also states that the policyholder-owned carrier wrote 38.1, though the source text provided does not include the unit or full context for that figure.
