Thomas Artmann named CEO of Willis Re Germany
The appointment is effective immediately and makes Artmann responsible for expanding Willis Re’s German operations and strategic objectives.
Willis Re has appointed Thomas Artmann as CEO of Willis Re Germany, effective immediately.
The Munich-based executive will be responsible for developing Willis Re’s German operations, establishing a stronger regional presence, and driving the company’s strategic objectives.
Artmann brings more than 36 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, including 25 years working exclusively at Munich Re, and most recently served as CEO of Munich Re Syndicates Ltd.
Willis Re Board member Lucy Clarke said the firm is welcoming Artmann to lead its German operations, citing his leadership and longstanding relationships across the German reinsurance market. Artmann said it is an exciting time to join Willis Re, which he described as well positioned for the next phase of growth.
