Yamaha sells U.S. headquarters campus in $115 million sale-leaseback
The buyer, The Walt Disney Co., paid $115 million and Yamaha will lease back the Cypress, California, property through Dec. 31, 2028.
ConnectCRE says Avison Young arranged the sale of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.'s former U.S. headquarters campus at 6555 Katella Ave. in Cypress.
The outlet identified The Walt Disney Co. as the buyer, noting it paid $115 million to use the site for back-office operations.
Yamaha will lease back the property, which has served as its U.S. headquarters since 1979, through Dec. 31, 2028 as part of a planned relocation to Kennesaw, Georgia.
ConnectCRE also said the +/-25-acre infill industrial-zoned property includes three buildings, with Avison Young listing representation for Yamaha and program management by Jeff Estep.
