EUR/USD rises as US dollar softens ahead of Fed minutes

EUR/USD was last around 1.1255, up 0.29% on the day, while the US Dollar Index eased to about 101.87 after Monday’s year to date high near 102.53.

EUR/USD strengthened on Tuesday, supported by a modest pullback in the US Dollar, with the pair trading around 1.1255 and up 0.29% on the day, according to FXStreet.

FXStreet said the dollar softened as Treasury yields retreated, though the benchmark 10 year yield was still near 5.29% after earlier dipping toward 5.25%.

The outlet added that concerns about France’s fiscal position helped limit the euro’s upside, even as investors looked ahead to Fed minutes and assessed pressure from recent US data.

FXStreet also noted the US Dollar Index, at about 101.87 after climbing to a fresh year to date high of 102.53 on Monday.
