Euro rebounds against dollar and sterling as French bonds rally
The euro fell to a level below $1.12, its lowest since May 2025, before reversing as French government bond yields retreated.
The euro reversed earlier losses and traded higher against the dollar and sterling after French government bonds rallied, according to Guardian Business.
The outlet said the move pushed French bond yields lower, with the single currency briefly sinking to its lowest level since May 2025, below $1.12, before recovering.
Guardian Business also reported that European stock markets rose while government bond yields retreated, alongside other market updates including Brent crude dropping below $100 a barrel after a Saudi oil price cut.
