Indonesia expects first delivery of Chinese J-10CE fighter jets in April
Indonesia ordered 42 J-10CE jets last October, in a program budgeted at US$9 billion, with April delivery timing described as roughly six months after the order.
Indonesia is expected to receive its first Chengdu J-10CE fighter jets in about six months, with delivery timing pointing to April, according to an Indonesian media report cited by SCMP Economy.
Jakarta confirmed an order for 42 of the 4.5-generation J-10CE jets, known as Vigorous Dragons, last October, and the program carries an approved budget of US$9 billion, according to the report.
The first delivery is expected in April, though the report said it is not yet known how many aircraft will arrive at that time.
Indonesia's Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono did not provide an update on the order size and urged the public to wait for the Chinese Vigorous Dragons to arrive, SCMP Economy reported.
