Silver trades near $61.14 per ounce as prices stay flat
Silver was $61.14 per troy ounce on Tuesday, up slightly from $61.08 on Monday, with the Gold/Silver ratio rising to 67.98.
Silver prices were broadly unchanged on Tuesday, with XAG/USD trading at $61.14 per troy ounce, according to FXStreet data.
That level was 0.11% higher than Monday’s $61.08. Separately, the Gold/Silver ratio increased to 67.98 from 67.78 on Monday, FXStreet reported.
FXStreet also noted that silver is widely traded by investors and tends to respond to factors such as US dollar moves, lower interest rates, and shifts in safe-haven demand. It added that the metal can be held physically or traded through instruments such as exchange-traded funds that track its international price.
