US crude oil inventories decline by 2.09 million barrels, API estimates

The API estimate reverses a 1.019 million barrel increase in the prior week.

OilPrice reports that the American Petroleum Institute estimated US crude oil inventories fell by 2.09 million barrels in the week ending Oct 2.

The outlet also noted that inventories had risen by 1.019 million barrels in the week prior.

OilPrice further said commercial crude oil inventories excluding the SPR have declined by more than 38 million barrels over the last 25 weeks, while US crude inventories are up nearly 13 million year to date.
